Komende woensdag 21 maart om 19:00 krijgt ons Training the Senses programma een vervolg: een lezing en ervaring door Chris Fitch en Mattijs van de Port bij de de Brandweer. Aansluitend bij onze nieuwe tentoonstelling ‘Dreaming Awake’ verzorgen zij een aanzet tot nadenken over ‘de wildernis’, welke wij aan de ene kant proberen te temmen maar aan de andere kant nodig hebben om ons diepste verlangen naar het ongeremde en onvoorspelbare te stillen.
Wednesday the 21th of March at 7pm our Training the Senses program is heading a new chapter: a reading and experience by Chris Fitch and Mattijs van de Port, at ‘de Brandweer’. Accompanying our new exhibition ‘Dreaming Awake’ they give us a start in reflecting on the subject ‘the wild’. This ‘wild’ is a place we are trying to tame on one side, but we also need it to fullfill our deepest longings towards the oncontrolled and the unexpected.

Chris Fitch is geograaf, schrijver en verhalenverteller, geluidskunstenaar.
Mattijs van de Port is onder andere visueel antropoloog en is werkzaam bij beiden universiteiten van Amsterdam.
Chris Fitch is geographer, writer, storyteller and soundartist.
Mattijs van de Port is visual antrhopologist, and is working a both universities in Amsterdam.
